Negative photograph of students in the library at Emily Mcpherson College, Melbourne, circa 1947. They stand in front of a display on France. Several sources date the Air France poster depicted (by P. Baudouin) to 1947.

An enlarged library was later opened as part of the Ethel Margaret McPherson Wing, on 16 August 1950. The Ethel Margaret McPherson Wing was designed by then state architect Percy Everett.
