Summary
Copy of a medal of Pope Adrian VI (1522-1523). The original medal, by an unknown artist, was made in 1522. This Electrotype copy made circa 1881 by Robert Ready. Electrotype taken from a medal exhibited in the King's Library of the British Museum in 1881, No. 317 in the catalogue of that exhibition. The original medal is cast bronze, this piece is copper plated and toned. The two electrotype halves have been joined to form a single piece.
