Summary
This sketch is the earliest known rendering of the idea of the Flying Tram that appeared in the 'Welcome to Melbourne' segment of the Opening Ceremony of the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. Dan Potra, the Ceremonies Designer for the Games, drew this sketch to realise the idea, first conceived by Andrew Carter, of having a tram fly into the Melbourne Cricket Ground as part of the Ceremony.
