Lantern slide depicting three girls of Indian ethnicity. They may be from an orphanage as they are not wearing school uniforms (as was the norm in Fiji at the time, particularly for girls in senior years) but are wearing Western-style clothes.

Part of a collection of 55 photographic lantern slides, glass negatives and acetate negatives of travel images taken in the Pacific Islands, probably in the late 1930s. The slide is numbered '16'.
