Summary

Folder containing 66 issues of Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd sales oriented newsletters, 'Kodak Sales News' and 'Dealer News'.

The folder comprises of editions of the 'Kodak Dealer News' dating from May 1968 until December 1970, and editions of the 'Kodak Sales News' from January 1971 until December 1977.

From 1970s onwards Kodak Sales News was a publication dedicated to sales, with an emphasis on products and promotional campaigns. Unlike the similar Kodak Dealer News which was sent to stores that stocked Kodak product, the Kodak Sales News seems to have been restricted to sales representatives and retail staff employed by Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd. It appears to have continued into the 1990s.

The 'Kodak Dealer News' was distributed to Kodak dealers and retailers throughout the country to keep them abreast of the latest Kodak products, price changes, and advertising campaigns. Some issues included a supplement with extra information and pricing details.

This document is part of the Kodak Heritage Collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
