Description of the Sunshine Harvester Works' tool rooms

The Sunshine Harvester Works tool rooms housed and manufactured tools required for the production of agricultural equipment. Various tool rooms were attached to particular factory departments, such as the Bolt, Binder and Machine Shops. The No. 7 tool room serviced the Blacksmiths, Cutting-up and Drilling Shops. The No. 11 tool room was the main storage facility and manufacturer of tools for all factory departments. It had the largest range of machinery needed for manufacturing tools. Following World War II, a tool design section was formed. Specialists designed tools and supplied these drawings to tool rooms located throughout the factory for manufacturing.
