Summary
This letter of sympathy was one of a large number sent to his trainer and part owner Harry Telford after Phar Lap died in April 1932. The Telford family retained the letters, and they were donated to the museum in the 1990s.

Text: Mrs. Telford/Dear Madam/Under seperate/cover I have posted to you a working/of Phar Lap I thought you would like/to buy one of him it makes a fine/picture when framed this one is/one pound five shillings./I am making one/on black poplin with the horse/standing on a lawn will cost 2-2-0./I am a totally disabled soldier and/I do this work.
