Text: Dear Harry/You will remember me/from the old Rawson days at Newcastle/when my father Donald Thomson was/alive. Mother Nell and myself/have been very gratified at your many/turf successes and have particularly/been interested in the wonderful career/of your marvellous horse Phar Lap. We/were (in common with everyone else in/Australia) deeply shocked at the sad/news of his passing and our thoughts/turned to you immediately. Please/accept our heartfelt sympathies in your/irreparable loss.
