Summary
This letter of sympathy was one of a large number sent to his trainer and part owner Harry Telford after Phar Lap died in April, 1932. The Telford family retained the letters, and they were donated to the museum in the 1990s.

Text: Mr. Telford/Victoria/Dear Sir/I am/writing to ask you a favour/would you let me a photo of/Phar Lap your wonder horse./I would like also some little/souvinor off him, we were/all very initerested in him winning/his races so wonderful. I do/hope I can get a photo of/some kind of him, if you have/any would you let me have/one, also let me know his/racing colours./We are all very sorry at his/loss & you have our deepest/sympathy./Trusting you will do your/best for a photo.
