Text: Mr. H.R. Telford/Dear Sir/During the past/twenty years or so I have made it a/hobby of collecting champion race/horses photo's. I have tried all the/papers to get a good photo of your/champion Phar Lap. Having seen the/horse myself I do not think any of them/have done him justice. So I am writing/to you thinking you might have a/natural phot of him to spare. I/would be more pleased than I can put/into words if you have. I am enclosing/1/- in stamps for reply. Hoping to hear/from yu soon.
