Summary
This letter of sympathy was one of a large number sent to his trainer and part owner Harry Telford after Phar Lap died in April, 1932. The Telford family retained the letters, and they were donated to the museum in the 1990s.

Text: H.R. Telford/Braeside/Mordialloc/Victoria/Dear Sir,/If you have any photographs of Phar Lap/that you have no use for could you send me/a couple. I am very interested in race/horses & especially ones like your Phar Lap./The only photographs that I have are prints/from the Australasian but I would value a nice/one very much./I must congratulate you on his last win/He must be a great loss financially & otherwise/by his tragic end./Hoping this is not putting you to much/bother as I know it is a trouble.
