Text: Mr. Telford/Dear Sir/Mr. Telford I'm a great lover of our/wonderful Phar Lap. And every time I read anything/about that great horse now he has passed away/I grieve from love of the beautiful beast. I would/like to know if you would spare me even a/couple of strands of hair from our Champion./I'm framing a big photo of him, and I'd love to possess/a strand of hair to put with the photo. So please/if when Mr. Woodcock returns you can spare me/some of Phar Lap's hair I'd be ever so grateful./Hoping you will oblige.
